It is the first major project of Americans Well-informed on Automobile Retailing Economics (AWARE).
The National Automobile Dealers Association and the American Financial Services Association formed AWARE in March of this year. The site advises consumers to know their credit scores when they shop for a vehicle. It urges them to set a realistic price range that fits their budget before they visit a dealership. It also encourages buyers to compare loan interest rates and financing terms from several sources. The website is available in English and Spanish.
